Kathy Pagones O'Neill

Kathy Pagones O’Neill, KPO Consulting LLC Principal, is an experienced manager with extensive expertise facilitating and leading cross-functional teams to complete complex business and IT projects. Kathy’s facilitative approach and consultative relationship management skills enable her to effectively organize, plan and manage for results.

With extensive career experience in the profit and non-profit sectors, Kathy was most recently affiliated with MIT where she helped establish a relationship management program for its central IT organization. Through this program, Kathy’s expertise was frequently sought by technology and administrative leaders to facilitate cross functional meetings and complex issue resolution, scope and plan projects, and conduct assessments. Kathy also helped organize and implement a distributed workforce program to support MIT’s OpenCourseWare initiative, a large-scale, web-based electronic publishing initiative offering MIT course materials to the world. 

At Fidelity Investments, Kathy managed aspects of several large software development and business process implementations supporting securities processing, customer account, and human resources initiatives. She also led an internal consulting group that provided IT project management best practice services and training to Fidelity’s services groups. Kathy established and managed a program management office for the start-up of Fidelity Investments’ benefits outsourcing service center, and held management roles for brokerage, customer account and human resources IT related initiatives. 

Adept at operating within both start-up and mature organizations, Kathy’s business process and software application implementation experience spans enterprise resource planning, mutual fund and brokerage trade processing, customer relationship management, and technology infrastructure initiatives.

Kathy’s educational background includes an MBA from Boston College, a BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a current PMP (Project Management Professional) certification from the Project Management Institute.
