Leonard Alcorn

Len Alcorn is a dynamic, highly accomplished project management consultant, focusing on business operations and process analysis, structured problem solving, program / project management methodologies, best practices, information systems strategy, and other organizational factors. He has exceptional analytical skills coupled with an ability to quickly determine critical business needs. He has exceptional entrepreneurial skills and superior communication, management, interpersonal, and technical skills. He has significant expertise in financial services, healthcare, staffing, sales/marketing, database/direct marketing, and software development industries.

Len has been a full time consultant since 1994, and has provided senior-level services for many different clients, including the Affiliated Managers Group, Fidelity Investments, Managers Investment Group, Lochridge and Company, the W.A. Wilde Company, Private Healthcare, Charles Schwab, Nestle Brands, Grainger, US Tobacco, and several others.  Prior to becoming a full-time consultant, Len was a senior manager at various Boston-based organizations, including Holland Mark Martin, Lotus Development, The Palmer Group, Sanders-Lockheed, and Martin-Marietta.  Len is also a decorated military veteran, having served eight years in the U.S. Air Force as an Intelligence Specialist and Technical Instructor at the Air Force Intelligence Training Center.

Len’s project experience spans diverse technical and business environments, and includes the implementation of formal document management, data warehouse and datamart / reporting environments, ERP vendor selection and implementation oversight, marketing material fulfillment outsourcing, CRM design and implementation, business process analysis, documentation, and re-design, the implementation of formal task tracking and management, new venture planning and start-up, business entity integration,  data standardization and cleansing, IS capabilities analysis, troubled project rescue and mediation, and application design and implementation for direct and database marketing, sales order processing, enterprise compliance, credit & risk, charitable gift, anti-money laundering, employee trading surveillance, personal trust and internal staffing group.  In addition to his consulting experience, Len has also served as an executive-level manager of key start-up services firms in the greater Boston area.
