Mary Byrne
Mary is a dynamic sales leader with a solid
track record of exceeding financial/strategic goals and taking
organizations to the next level. She has extensive experience in
developing major account strategies and the professional
development of sales teams. She thrives in a fast-paced
environments. She has worked in a number of industries including
advertising, high-technology, and communications. Mary’s
expertise has also been repeatedly called upon to develop and
realize strategic goals for the organization.
Most recently Mary was Vice President of
Sales and Account Management at DoubleClick, one of the Internet’s
largest advertising and marketing campaign management providers.
Here, she was responsible for building and growing the online
marketing automation business, including email, campaign
management, ad serving, web analytics, and search services, for
the Fortune 1000 space. She instituted Value Selling methodology,
SalesForce.com reporting and tracking, and vigorous professional
development and product training sessions for sales teams. The
changes delivered results. During this time, Mary significantly
exceeded financial goals on managing existing and acquiring new
business. She also played an active role in merger and
acquisition efforts to merge newly purchased companies into the
DoubleClick product portfolio.
Prior to joining DoubleClick, Mary was Senior
Vice President of Sales for Level 3 Communications. Having
acquired Genuity where she was Vice President of Global Accounts,
Level 3 was looking for a sales leader that could unify the sales
force and move from a commodity sales model to a
relationship-based, high-value model. Here, she spearheaded
strategy development with Level 3 lines of business to respond to
new product feature requests and market needs of enterprise
clients. She also drove the adoption and sales of former Genuity
offerings including managed hosting, Internet connectivity, and
network security products to new and existing customers of Level
3. Mary served as a core member on a divestiture team that sold
the managed hosting business unit to Computer Sciences
Corporation.
Mary has a BA from Long Island University and
