Tim Althof
Tim Althof is an experienced and seasoned
financial leader. He has been CFO and also held other
senior Finance roles in leading public and private
companies. As part of senior executive teams, he helped set
vision, strategy, and direction.
Tim is a solid hands-on practitioner and a
highly effective communicator. As a consultant he draws on his
no-nonsense company background to help organizations analyze and
solve complex problems, simplify and speed up processes, and
move projects to completion. He has an exceptionally strong
background in financial planning (including Hyperion and other
CPM tools), GAAP accounting, costing, treasury, governance,
controls, information systems, and investor relations. His
specialized skills include international operations,
acquisitions, project leadership, organizational planning &
development, software revenue recognition, SOX, and JSOX.
Tim’s industry experience encompasses
consumer and business-to-business product manufacturing and
distribution, direct marketing, life sciences, software,
business services, travel & leisure, and nonprofits.
Tim holds an MBA from the University of
Colorado, Leeds School, Boulder, CO. He is active in the
business community and is a member of the Financial Executives
International, a founding Board member of the Senior Financial
Association of Northern New England, and a Board Member and
Treasurer of the Nashua River Watershed Association based in
Groton, MA.
